Since Napster revolutionized the file sharing industry in 1999, peer to peer services have been popping up all over. Movie sharing services were soon to follow with services such as Bittorrent as broadband capabilities spread. With the recent introduction of the iPhone, many iPhone peer to peer networks have come about. The question lingering in many consumers minds is… are these iPhone download services legal? I wondered - I know there is no way to know in light of the fact that this product is not even OUT yet - but do you think the Apple iPhone will blast the competition and make apple a STAR well known company again as some people are saying? i may get really extravagant and buy one of these iPhones. Every now then I get to play the “I told you so” card. Mind you, it’s not often but I said many weeks ago that the iPhone would be ready for business users. Sure, there may be some shortcomings like broad support for push email from corporate servers, office document support and the like but the ability to carry PIM and other data as well as its value for multimedia presentations on the road especially if it includes decent video-out capability like the iPod, can’t be underestimated.
